Green Guerrillas and the Hattie Carthan Community Farmers Market invite you to the 1st annual Oktoberfest celebration and mural dedication in the marketplace.
11 am – Dedication of the colorful new mural painted by Green Guerrillas youth tillers & Bed-Stuy youth
with artist Alix Sorrell
Followed by
- Spoken word performance
- Caribbean Folk Music with African drums and banjos (surprise performers)
- Seasonal Cooking Demonstration
- Activities for Children
- Compost Workshop
And of course – the market is open and full of fall ciders, goat cheeses, local fruits and vegetables!
